Snoopy was to be launched from near Boscombe, on the south coast of England, at about midday, on Sunday 7th January 2018. Conditions such as tide, surf, and wind, can be seen on MagicSeaweed - pity it was not an accurate forecast !
Snoopy, Peter, Dick, June, and Robin, had a nice trip to the seaside, but sadly, Snoopy did not even get his feet wet.
It could not even be counted as an "Attempt" - unlike the Brief 2017 Atlantic Attempt on 15th December :-)
In short, Robin and Snoopy "chickened out" - mostly due to unexpected heavy surf, wherever we looked:
1) Boscombe 2) Hengesbury Head 3) Boscombe again 4) Sandbanks.
However, this was an interesting "learning experience". Click on the pictures below to enlarge or play :-)
